This new award, in partnership with The National Lottery Heritage Fund, will be made to an outstanding environmentally sustainable project or exhibition which can demonstrate best practice in your approach to managing environmental impacts, particularly energy efficiency, recycling and reuse, materials, sustainable procurement and green visitor travel planning to achieve a quality visitor experience. Entries should also identify wider economic, social or environmental benefits to the organisation or community which have arisen from ‘thinking sustainably’.
To enter this category, please tell us in no more than 500 words why your project or exhibition is worthy of winning this prestigious new award. Your application must apply to projects/exhibitions which have been open for part or all of 2019.
As per the other Museums + Heritage Award categories, this is open to entries from UK museums, heritage and cultural organisations of all sizes as well as freelancers and companies working on their behalf.
This new category is FREE to enter and has an extended entry deadline of Friday 21 February (all other categories remain 31 January deadline). Please note that all shortlistees are required to purchase a minimum of one ticket for the Museums + Heritage Awards ceremony in London on the evening of Wednesday 13 May.
